It is with great pleasure that we announce that Dr Sharon Heng has been appointed Director of Medical Retina Services at Moorfields Eye Hospital, effective 1 October 2026.
On her appointment, Dr Heng shared:
“I would like to take this opportunity first to thank my beloved family—my parents, husband, and children—who have given their relentless support every step of the way and have been so patient with my long work schedules and travels.
I am also grateful to my fellow colleagues and various administrative and allied health professional teams for their support and ongoing support as we stride into the new era with the new Moorfields state-of-the-art hospital.
Together, we will lead and build stronger and higher clinical standards and care for our patients.”
