Is your vision not quite clear, and you find night driving more and more difficult?
CATARACTS
Cataracts are when the lens, which is normally a transparent disc which sits within the eye gets cloudy over time.
When we are young, our lens are clear , allowing us to see through it , but as we get order, or in certain diseases or trauma, this becomes frosty, resulting in blurred vision or worsening of night vision.

Surgery is the only treatment for cataracts. The advancement of technology has allowed safe removal of cataracts and new lens implant.

Cataract and Driving
Cataracts may affect your ability to drive

You do not need to tell the DVLA if you have cataracts but is still within the visual standards for driving.
If you drive a bus, coach or lorry, you do not need to tell the DVLA if you have (or previously had) cataracts and:
-
you still meet the visual standards for driving
-
you do not have an increased sensitivity to glare because of the cataract

Ms Heng will discuss your individual risk profile for cataract surgery, or if indeed cataract is the cause of your decline in vision.

we offer cataract surgery all-in packages, including advice on suitability for premium lenses including toric, multifocal and EDOF(enhanced depth of focus) lenses.
